As a Junior HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in our People ops team, working closely with the Director of People and assisting in various HR functions, office administration tasks, and recruitment processes. 


Responsibilities

  • Work on employee events and engagement initiatives for our NY employees.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and assist with new hire onboarding and process for departing employees.
  • Manage and track office maintenance.
  • Support the Director of People and CEO with different projects.
  • Support general office maintenance and external vendors.
  • Learn and ramp-up to functions of technical recruitment.

Requirements:

  • Advantage - previous experience working in welfare or community roles.
  • Love connecting with people and have a proven ability to build relationships and bring warmth to all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility: Ability to wear many different hats (and switch them regularly).
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • You’re a self-learner who likes to take on the initiative.
  • Positive energy focused on delivering execution.
  • Creative mindset with energy to deliver new employee experiences and events.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with the ability to maintain professional composure under pressure.
